Adani International School (ADIS), Shantigram, hosted the IRIS National Fair 2025–26 from February 6 to 8, bringing together young innovators from across the country to showcase India’s emerging science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) talent. The three-day national programme aimed to move learning beyond classrooms by encouraging early-stage research, innovation, and problem-solving among school students.
The event, part of IRIS National Fair’s Cohort 2, featured 75 student innovators representing 12 states and 24 cities. Alongside students, the fair saw participation from educators, researchers, and mentors, positioning Ahmedabad as a growing hub for school-level STEM research and collaboration. The programme included research exhibitions, structured mentoring sessions, symposia, and public engagement activities focused on real-world scientific inquiry.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony, Gujarat Minister of State for Education Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja emphasised the importance of nurturing research and innovation from an early age. She noted that scientific thinking should begin at the school level, where students learn to question, experiment, and accept failure as part of the learning process, enabling schools to function as incubators of ideas rather than only centres of instruction.

She said platforms like the IRIS National Fair encourage students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, helping them develop a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
The programme opened with a Principals’ and Educators’ Conference, where school leaders discussed strengthening inquiry-based STEM pedagogy and experiential teaching practices. Student research projects were presented through curated exhibitions and evaluated by experts, providing participants with direct mentoring and feedback.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by senior leaders, including Namrata Adani and Amit Singh, Chief Executive Officer, International Energy Business, Adani Group. The successful conclusion of the fair underlined the growing role of schools in fostering early-stage research and innovation, strengthening the foundation for India’s next generation of scientific thinkers.
