The upcoming fifth installment of the blockbuster Golmaal franchise has created massive anticipation among fans, even before filming begins in March 2026. Recently, reports surfaced suggesting that Golmaal 5 would draw inspiration from the iconic 1969 Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor comedy Do Aur Do Paanch. Director Rohit Shetty has now officially addressed these claims.
Through a statement released by Rohit Shetty Pictures, the director categorically denied the speculation. “We wish to issue a strict clarification regarding certain news reports claiming that Golmaal 5 is inspired by or based on Do Aur Do Paanch. These reports are factually incorrect, misleading, and completely untrue,” the statement read, urging media outlets to avoid publishing unverified content.
The production house also emphasized the need for journalistic accuracy and issued a stern warning. “Any news, update, or clarification regarding Rohit Shetty or Golmaal 5 must be verified with us or our official PR representatives at Universal Communications before publication. Strict legal action will be taken against circulation of false information,” it added.
