The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the post-result process for students who appeared for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026. From August 31, students dissatisfied with their marks can apply online for a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. The process will be conducted in stages, with students required to follow the board’s prescribed schedule for subsequent verification and re-evaluation requests.

Students can apply for the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book from August 31 to September 1, 2026. The fee for obtaining the scanned answer book is Rs 100 per subject. Candidates are required to submit their applications online and provide the necessary credentials, including their roll number and date of birth, before selecting the subject for which they want to access the evaluated answer book.

After receiving and reviewing the scanned answer book, students can decide whether to seek verification of marks or re-evaluation. The verification process is scheduled for September 7 and 8, with a fee of Rs 100 per answer book. Verification allows students to request a check for possible errors related to the evaluation or totaling of marks.

The re-evaluation process will also be available on September 7 and 8, 2026. Students opting for re-evaluation will have to identify the specific question or questions they want reviewed and pay Rs 100 per question. The board has prescribed separate stages for obtaining the answer book, verification and re-evaluation, making it important for candidates to complete each application within the relevant deadline.

To apply, students need to visit the official CBSE website and access the designated application link for Class 12 answer books. They must select the option for obtaining a scanned copy, enter the required details, choose their subject or subjects and complete the Rs 100-per-subject payment online. Once the scanned copy is available, students can examine their evaluated answers before deciding whether to proceed with either of the subsequent processes.

The distinction between verification and re-evaluation is important for candidates. Verification involves checking marks for possible evaluation or totaling-related errors, while re-evaluation involves requesting a review of specific questions as permitted under CBSE rules.
