The decapitated body of a young woman was discovered in a desolate area, leading to the swift arrest of her former boyfriend, Furkan, alias Bilal, who allegedly murdered her to prevent her from disrupting his arranged marriage. Police sources revealed that the victim and Furkan had been in a romantic relationship for two years. However, after his family fixed his wedding with another woman, he decided to end the affair. The woman reportedly began pressuring him, raising fears that she could ruin his upcoming marriage prospects.
Motivated by these concerns, Furkan hatched a plan to eliminate her. On December 6, 2025, he allegedly lured the woman into his car under the pretext of a drive. He then killed her, severed her head, and stripped her clothes in an attempt to conceal her identity before dumping the body in a remote location near Bahadurgarh.

Authorities recovered the body in Yamunanagar district, prompting the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the case. Senior police officer Kamaldeep Goyal stated that technical evidence, including digital and forensic clues, played a crucial role in quickly identifying and apprehending the suspect.
The gruesome nature of the crime—decapitation and efforts to obscure identification—has shocked the local community, highlighting the extreme measures taken in what appears to be a crime driven by relationship disputes and societal pressures surrounding arranged marriages.
Such incidents underscore broader concerns in parts of India regarding honour-related violence and crimes stemming from interpersonal conflicts, with police emphasising the need for early intervention in disputes. Investigations are ongoing to gather further evidence and ensure a thorough prosecution.
