Police in Kanpur arrested Shivam Mishra, the 26- to 35-year-old son of prominent local tobacco businessman KK Mishra, on February 12, 2026, in connection with a high-profile Lamborghini crash that occurred four days earlier. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, February 8, when a speeding Lamborghini Revuelto—valued at over Rs 10 crore—allegedly lost control on VIP Road in the upscale Gwaltoli area near Ring Wala Chauraha and Jhula Park Crossing. The luxury vehicle rammed into an autorickshaw, a stationary motorcycle, pedestrians, and other vehicles before mounting a divider and coming to a halt, injuring at least six people, including an 18-year-old e-rickshaw driver named Mohd Taufeeq who filed the initial complaint.
According to police statements, CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts, and other evidence confirm that Shivam Mishra was behind the wheel at the time of the crash. Authorities seized the vehicle for forensic examination as part of the ongoing probe. The case drew significant attention due to initial reports of an FIR against an "unknown person," allegations of delays in naming the accused, and claims by the Mishra family that Shivam was in Delhi receiving treatment.
