A road rage incident in Gurugram has gone viral after a resident shared dashcam footage showing occupants of a Mahindra Scorpio—driving on the wrong side and decorated with flowers—threatening and confronting him. The video, posted online by Samarth Mathur on December 12, 2025, captures the Scorpio blocking his car near AIPL Joy Street on Main Gujjar Road in Sector 66, prompting two men to alight and aggressively approach his vehicle.
In the clip, the men shout at Mathur, insisting he pass despite their vehicle coming from the opposite direction and halting traffic. One yells, "Keh raha hu nikal ja" (I've been telling you to pass by), while gesturing angrily. Mathur described the Scorpio as conveniently wrong-way driving, creating a public nuisance and intimidation, and questioned how ordinary citizens can protect themselves from such "gundagardi".
Mathur tagged Gurugram Police and Traffic Police in his post, highlighting the risks of unsafe driving and harassment. The video quickly amassed views and shares, sparking public outrage over recurring road rage and traffic violations in the National Capital Region.

Gurugram Police responded promptly, requesting Mathur's contact details to proceed with action. However, he declined, arguing the footage provided sufficient evidence of wrongdoing without needing personal information. He questioned the necessity of details when the video clearly showed violations.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, reviewing the video for potential charges related to reckless driving, public intimidation, and traffic offences. Police urged witnesses or victims to come forward with information.
Such episodes underscore persistent concerns about road safety and aggressive behaviour on Gurugram's busy roads, where wrong-way driving and confrontations remain common despite enforcement drives. The viral nature of the video has renewed calls for stricter monitoring and swift penalties.
