A prominent serial and film actress, identified as Chaitra R, has been allegedly kidnapped by her estranged husband, Harshvardhan, in Bengaluru, in a premeditated operation apparently designed to pressure the family into surrendering custody of their one-year-old daughter amid a prolonged and bitter marital separation.

The couple, who entered into matrimony in 2023, had been living apart for approximately seven to eight months due to escalating domestic conflicts, with the actress establishing residence in a rented property on Magadi Road in Bengaluru to care for their young child independently, while her husband, a established film producer and proprietor of Vardhan Enterprises, maintained his base in Hassan district.

As detailed in the formal complaint submitted by the actress's sister, Leela R, the abduction was executed on December 7 through elaborate deception, wherein the victim was misled into anticipating a legitimate work assignment in Mysuru, only to be summoned to Mysuru Road Metro Station early in the morning and subsequently coerced into a waiting vehicle by accomplices, who transported her along secluded routes including NICE Road and the Bidadi corridor under instructions allegedly funded by advance payments from the husband.

In a critical moment of opportunity around 10:30 am, the actress succeeded in briefly contacting a trusted friend, Girish, to convey her predicament and seek assistance, triggering a rapid chain of notifications to her dispersed family members, who soon faced direct confrontations via telephone calls from the husband himself, during which he reportedly confessed to orchestrating the incident and issued explicit demands for the immediate delivery of the child to predetermined locations such as Arsikere as a precondition for her unharmed release.

Law enforcement agencies in Bengaluru have promptly registered a criminal case encompassing charges of kidnapping based on the comprehensive complaint, mobilizing investigative resources to trace the whereabouts of the actress, apprehend the primary accused and his associates, and resolve the crisis while addressing the underlying custody dispute that has precipitated this grave escalation in family tensions.
