A Delhi court remanded Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, a pivotal accused in the deadly November 10 Red Fort blast, to 13 days' judicial custody until January 16. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) produced him before Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna at Patiala House Court under tight security, following the end of his eight-day NIA remand granted on December 26. Media access was restricted during proceedings.

NIA arrested Malla on December 9 in Delhi, designating him a central figure in the terror conspiracy. Investigations reveal he provided crucial logistical aid to suicide bomber Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, who rammed an explosive-laden i20 car into the historic Red Fort, killing 15 and injuring dozens. Malla also allegedly destroyed evidence to cover tracks in the devastating attack.

The probe exposes a network involving medical professionals and extremists, with NIA securing nine arrests to date. Other detainees include doctors Muzammil Ganaie, Adeel Rather, and Shaheen Sayeed; preacher Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay; and operatives Amir Rashid Ali, Soyab, Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, and Yasir Ahmad Dar. Their roles span logistics, radicalization, and execution.
