Punjab Police thwarted a sinister plot by arresting two operatives of a terror module in Ferozepur, seizing a 2.8 kg improvised explosive device (IED) packed with 1.6 kg of RDX, officials said Sunday.
The suspects, Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh, were nabbed by the Counter Intelligence unit, disrupting plans linked to Pakistan’s ISI to sow chaos in the region.
DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed the duo acted under Germany-based Gurpreet Singh, alias Goldy Dhillon, a key figure in the Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang. “This breakthrough foils a targeted terror attack,” Yadav posted on X, noting the recovery of a remote-controlled IED meant for devastation. The National Investigation Agency has a Rs 10 lakh bounty on Dhillon.
