The makers of Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, have dismissed reports of a proposed ticket price increase for the upcoming period action drama. Production house Mythri Movie Makers clarified that it has not approached the governments of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana seeking permission for higher ticket rates ahead of the film's release.
The clarification came after reports claimed that the production house had sought a Rs 50 increase in ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh. In a post on X on Monday, Mythri Movie Makers termed the reports false and stated that no request for a ticket price hike had been submitted in either of the two Telugu-speaking states.
The production house also confirmed that Ranabaali will be released at standard ticket prices. The makers said they expect audiences to have a cinematic experience during the festive season, while putting to rest speculation that viewers would have to pay higher rates for screenings of the Vijay and Rashmika starrer.

Ticket pricing has remained a significant issue around major Telugu film releases, particularly when producers seek government approval for temporary increases. Andhra Pradesh requires government permission for ticket price hikes, making such applications an important part of the release planning for large-scale films. The latest clarification indicates that Ranabaali will follow regular ticket rates.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a period action drama set between 1854 and 1878 and draws on regional history and folklore. The film centres on a story of resistance and is scheduled to release on October 16, adding to the festive-season lineup of major theatrical releases.
Ranabaali marks the third collaboration between Vijay and Rashmika after Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019). Their reunion has generated considerable interest among audiences, with the upcoming film bringing the pair together on screen again in a period setting.
