Instagram influencer and content creator Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as Rebel Kid, appears to have vacated her Mumbai apartment in the wake of the controversy surrounding her appearance on the now-deleted YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’.
Apoorva shared a cryptic Instagram Story featuring a dimly lit, near-empty room with scattered boxes and cleaning supplies. In the video, she turns off the lights and walks away in silence, dressed in a white outfit. She captioned the post simply: “End of an era.”
It remains unclear whether she has moved to another home within Mumbai or left the city entirely. The move comes less than a year after she first shifted into the apartment with friends and had even given fans a video tour of the space just four months ago.

The timing of her exit has led to speculation that it may be linked to the backlash she faced following her appearance on ‘India’s Got Latent’, a comedy panel show created by comedian Samay Raina. In a now-controversial episode aired in January, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made inappropriate remarks about parents and sex, which sparked severe criticism. Apoorva, who was also on the panel, faced intense trolling over a short clip that circulated online.
Following the backlash, Apoorva deleted all her Instagram posts and later revealed she had received violent threats, including rape and acid attack messages. She also alleged being hounded by paparazzi while recording her police statement. Despite the trauma, she returned to social media recently, stating that she plans to donate any revenue from the video stream to an NGO supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
While Apoorva hasn’t confirmed her current location, her quiet exit has marked a poignant pause in a tumultuous chapter of her life.
