In fresh trouble for Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, another actress has come forward accusing him of inappropriate behaviour on the sets of their upcoming film ‘Soothravakyam’.
Actress Aparna John, currently based in Australia, alleged in a TV interview that Chacko made remarks with "sexual connotations" and displayed "abnormal and erratic" behaviour during the shoot. Backing fellow co-star Vincy Aloshious’s earlier claims, John said, “Everything Vincy said is 100 per cent correct. He was restless, moved constantly, and said things that had no logical connection. If any woman was around, his remarks were indecent and explicit — like verbal diarrhoea.”
She also confirmed witnessing Chacko spitting out a “white powder,” though she could not confirm the substance. “It could have been glucose, but it was definitely unusual,” she added.

John said the actor’s conduct made her extremely uncomfortable, particularly as she was new to the film industry. She alerted a member of the Internal Complaints Committee on set and was allowed to wrap up her scenes early. “The crew was supportive and helped me exit the project quickly,” she noted.
While Aloshious had previously accused Chacko of misbehaving with her under the influence of drugs and filed complaints with the Film Chamber and AMMA, no police complaint has yet been lodged.
Following these allegations, Chacko was recently arrested and released on bail in an unrelated drugs case. He faces charges under the NDPS Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for fleeing a hotel during a narcotics raid.
The Kerala government has stated it is taking the matter seriously, with both police and Excise departments actively investigating. Chacko was recently acquitted in a separate 2015 drug case due to procedural lapses.
