Bollywood power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently attended an event in Dubai for luxury real estate developer Damac, where they opened up about their personal life, their new home, and Ranbir’s mysterious absence from social media. In a candid chat, Alia playfully revealed that Ranbir does have an Instagram account — but it’s private, and she isn’t even allowed to follow it. The revelation sent fans into a frenzy, reigniting curiosity around the actor’s elusive social media presence.
When asked once again why he chooses to stay away from official social media platforms, Ranbir Kapoor admitted that while he isn’t publicly active, he does have a secret “finsta,” or fake Instagram account. “There are such amazing people doing great work, and I do follow them,” he said. “But because I’m an actor, I don’t want to officially be on Instagram. Then I’ll have the responsibility of showing myself to the world. I believe my acting and films are already my way of expressing myself.” Ranbir, known for his privacy, also joked that he has been asked this same question for nearly a decade and keeps changing his answers every year just to keep things interesting.
Alia Bhatt, joining the conversation with a laugh, revealed that Ranbir’s private account isn’t as secretive as it is minimal. “He only has two reels on it — both with Raha,” she disclosed, referring to their daughter. Ranbir then added, “Once Alia follows me, it’ll be out that I have an Instagram account,” sparking laughter among the audience. Fans couldn’t help but gush over the couple’s playful dynamic and their protectiveness toward Raha’s privacy.

Beyond the event’s lighthearted banter, Alia and Ranbir also spoke about their special connection with Dubai. The promotional tour for their ad campaign with Damac coincided with a personal milestone — settling into their new home, Krishna Raj Bungalow, in Mumbai’s Pali Hill. The six-storey residence, named after Ranbir’s late grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor, officially became their family home earlier this year during Diwali. The couple described Dubai as their “home away from home” and expressed how returning there for their collaboration felt like a “homecoming.”
Both actors continue to balance busy professional schedules with their growing family life. Alia Bhatt was last seen in a major hit and is set to appear in multiple high-profile projects, while Ranbir Kapoor continues to maintain his reputation as one of Bollywood’s most private yet charismatic stars. Their latest appearance reminded fans why the pair’s natural charm, humor, and authenticity make them one of the most admired duos in the industry.
