Sunny Deol’s war epic Border 2 continues its unstoppable run at the box office, crossing the impressive Rs 200 crore milestone just days after its theatrical release on January 23, 2026. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film has struck a massive chord with audiences, blending intense patriotism, real-life 1971 war heroism, and emotional storytelling that spans the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy operations.
To express his gratitude, Sunny Deol shared a touching video on Instagram. Seated on a rock against a snowy backdrop, the actor revisited his powerful dialogue from the film, saying, “Aawaz kahan tak gayi? Aapke dilo tak. Aapko meri Border bohot pasand aayi. Thank you very much. Love you all.” The post quickly drew warm reactions from family and co-stars, including red heart emojis from brother Bobby Deol, half-sister Esha Deol, son Karan Deol, Rahul Dev, and actress Mona Singh, who plays Sunny’s love interest in the movie.
The blockbuster success has naturally sparked excitement for the franchise’s future. Producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed in an interview with Hindustan Times that Border 3 is definitely in the works, given the overwhelming love the series has received nearly three decades after the original Border. The next chapter will once again be a collaboration between T-Series, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta’s JP Films. While discussions are underway, the project remains in early planning stages with no director or pre-production timeline locked in yet.
