The music album of the upcoming action drama Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set to be launched at a grand event in Mumbai on March 17, as the film’s makers ramp up promotional activities ahead of its theatrical release. The large-scale launch event is expected to bring together the film’s cast and crew, along with industry guests and fans, celebrating the soundtrack of one of the most anticipated Bollywood sequels of 2026.
Excitement around the sequel has been steadily building since the film’s trailer was released online without a traditional launch event. The upcoming music launch appears to be the team’s major promotional spectacle before the film hits theatres. Adding to the buzz, select users of the music streaming platform Spotify who subscribe to Spotify Premium have reportedly begun receiving in-app invitations to attend the special event, generating excitement among fans.
Music played a key role in the popularity of the original film, Dhurandhar, and expectations for the sequel’s soundtrack are high. Offering fans an early glimpse, the filmmakers recently released a recreated version of the track Aari Aari. The song, which was also featured in the film’s trailer, showcases Ranveer Singh in his intense role as Hamza Ali Mazari, presenting a darker and more action-packed tone for the sequel.

The refreshed track has been recreated under the creative direction of Aditya Dhar, while the music has been composed, arranged and programmed by Shashwat Sachdev. The new version blends the nostalgic elements of the original song with a contemporary soundscape, offering a glimpse of the film’s larger narrative and high-energy musical style.
In a unique promotional move, the makers have also re-released the original Dhurandhar in cinemas. The film returned to around 250 screens across India on March 12, with another 250 international screens beginning March 13, allowing audiences to revisit the story before the sequel arrives. This strategy is aimed at reigniting fan interest and introducing the franchise to newer viewers.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, coinciding with major festive celebrations including Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid al-Fitr. While the original film was released only in Hindi, the sequel will debut in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, significantly expanding its reach across Indian and international markets.
