Akshay Kumar’s latest release Bhooth Bangla continues to show steady performance at the domestic box office, maintaining its momentum through its fifth day in theatres. On Day 5, the film collected ₹7.65 crore across 11,589 shows in India, reflecting consistent audience turnout despite ongoing competition from other major releases.
According to industry tracking data from Sacnilk, the film’s domestic net collection currently stands at ₹72.40 crore, while its gross earnings in India have reached ₹86.21 crore. The film’s performance indicates a stable weekday hold, which is often seen as a key indicator of long-term theatrical sustainability.
On the international front, Bhooth Bangla added ₹2.50 crore on its fifth day, taking its total overseas gross to ₹31.50 crore. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to ₹117.71 crore, marking a solid global response for a film that opened to mixed critical reception but relatively strong audience interest.

The film had also generated early buzz through paid previews conducted a day before its official release, contributing ₹3.75 crore to its opening figures. It also marks a notable reunion between Akshay and director Priyadarshan after 14 years. The ensemble cast includes Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late actor Asrani, with production backed by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films.
In contrast, Dhurandhar 2 continues its dominant box office run even as it slows slightly after an extended theatrical period. On its fifth Tuesday (Day 34), the film earned ₹2 crore in India, pushing its domestic net total to ₹1,119.29 crore and domestic gross to ₹1,339.76 crore. Overseas, it added ₹0.50 crore, taking its international gross to ₹422 crore and worldwide total to ₹1,761.76 crore.
The massive performance of Dhurandhar 2 has also pushed its franchise beyond major benchmarks, with combined earnings crossing ₹3,019.35 crore, making it the first Indian franchise to surpass the ₹3,000 crore milestone. The film, which features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, continues to dominate discussions in the industry as it edges closer to becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in net collections.
