Actor Aneet Padda has reportedly been approached for a key role in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming film Brahmastra 2, potentially bringing her into the fantasy franchise alongside Ranbir Kapoor. According to a report by Filmfare, discussions are currently underway, although no agreement has been finalised. Details about the character being considered for Aneet are being kept under wraps.
A source cited by the publication described the role as an important one and indicated that it would be different from the kind of characters Aneet has played so far. The source also stressed that talks are still in progress and that her inclusion in the sequel has not yet been confirmed. If the casting materialises, Aneet would join the much-anticipated second chapter of Mukerji's planned fantasy franchise.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva was released in 2022, with Ranbir and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in important roles. The first instalment introduced a fantasy world built around powerful astras and left several questions open for the subsequent chapters of the story.

Deepika Padukone had earlier been linked to Brahmastra 2 after a post-credit sequence in the first film featured a glimpse of a character played by her. Her face was not shown clearly, while the sequence showed the character holding a child, prompting speculation about her potential role in the sequel. However, Deepika's team has since denied that the actor is involved in the upcoming film.
The reported discussions with Aneet come as anticipation around the sequel continues to grow. The actor has gained wider attention following her appearance in Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and featuring Ahaan Panday as the male lead. The film helped establish Aneet as a prominent young name in Hindi cinema and has contributed to increased interest in her upcoming projects.
Aneet is also associated with Shakti Shalini, an upcoming film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Meanwhile, Brahmastra 2 remains under development, with further details about its cast and storyline expected to emerge as production progresses. Aneet's reported involvement remains unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.
