Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) announced that celebrated actor Aditi Rao Hydari will receive the Diversity in Cinema Award at its 2025 edition, recognizing her remarkable contributions to Indian cinema across diverse roles and mediums. Hydari, who will attend the festival as a guest of honour, has captivated global audiences with her standout performances, notably as Bibbo Jaan in Heeramandi, alongside roles in films like Padmaavat, Kaatru Veliyidai, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Sufiyum Sujatayum, and the series Jubilee.
The IFFM, scheduled from August 14 to 24, 2025, in Melbourne, will feature a vibrant lineup of screenings, red carpet galas, and industry panels, with Hydari’s presence adding a touch of regal charm to the celebration of Indian cinema. Her ability to seamlessly blend poise, talent, and versatility has earned her widespread acclaim, making her a fitting recipient of this prestigious award.
Hydari expressed her gratitude, stating, “Receiving the Diversity in Cinema Award is a special honour.
