Bajaj Auto has launched the updated Pulsar N160 in India with a new 165 cc four-valve engine and two variants, the N160 S and N160 SS. The variants are priced at Rs 1,33,511 and Rs 1,42,585 respectively, ex-showroom Delhi. The updated motorcycle also brings several new technology and equipment upgrades aimed at improving performance, convenience and riding experience.
The new 165 cc four-valve engine is claimed to produce 18.5 HP, while Bajaj has also highlighted a 0-60 kmph acceleration time of 4.5 seconds. The motorcycle features an Intelligent Throttle system, or ETB, which continuously optimises throttle response for smoother power delivery. The technology also enables the motorcycle's electronic riding modes and other rider-assistance features.
The Pulsar N160 is now offered with four ETB-responsive ride modes: Rain, Sport, Road and Off-road. These modes are designed to alter the motorcycle's performance characteristics according to different riding conditions. The updated model also gets traction control, adding another electronic assistance feature to the motorcycle's equipment list.

Another addition is Crawl Technology, which is designed to make low-speed riding easier by allowing smoother movement at low speeds without frequent gear changes or clutch operation. The motorcycle also gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps mirroring. Bajaj has positioned this feature as a segment-first offering for a sports bike in India, adding navigation functionality to the updated motorcycle.
The styling has also been revised, with new graphics and coloured alloy wheels contributing to the motorcycle's updated streetfighter appearance. Bajaj has additionally made changes to the handlebar angle and seat height as part of the update. The N160 variants will be offered in three new colour options: Atlantic Blue, Pearl Metallic White and Brooklyn Black.
With the new engine, electronic ride modes, traction control, navigation-enabled display and revised styling, the updated Pulsar N160 represents a significant equipment upgrade over the earlier model. The new variants are aimed at buyers looking for a feature-rich motorcycle in the 160 cc segment, with Bajaj focusing on a combination of performance, technology and everyday usability.
