A group of friends and relatives travelling from Aron to Guna to attend a wedding met with a horrific accident in the pre-dawn darkness of Thursday when their speeding car rammed into the rear of a truck near Bajranggarh village in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district. The collision, which occurred around 3 am, claimed three lives on the spot and left four others battling severe injuries, transforming what should have been a celebratory journey into an unimaginable tragedy.

The impact was devastating: the front of the car crumpled completely, trapping passengers inside the mangled wreckage. Eyewitnesses described hearing a deafening crash followed by screams for help. Police and emergency teams rushed to the scene and were forced to use gas cutters and hydraulic equipment for nearly an hour to free the victims from the twisted metal, underscoring the sheer force of the collision.

Three occupants succumbed instantly to their injuries, while the four survivors were immediately shifted to a local hospital. Medical officers quickly assessed that two of the injured were in critical condition with multiple fractures and internal trauma, prompting their urgent referral to advanced trauma centres in Bhopal for specialised treatment. Doctors are working round-the-clock to stabilise them.
