Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has invited online applications for recruitment to various Executive positions through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The recruitment advertisement was issued on August 14, 2026, with vacancies covering posts such as Graduate Engineer, Officer (Marketing), Law Officer, Assistant Quality Control Officer and Diploma Engineer across different grades. The application process opened on August 14 and eligible candidates can apply through the official IndianOil website until September 3, up to 5 pm.
The maximum permissible age as on July 1, 2026, is 26 years for Graduate Engineer and Diploma Engineer positions, 28 years for Officer (Marketing) and 30 years for Law Officer and Assistant Quality Control Officer posts. Age relaxation will be applicable to reserved categories and other eligible groups according to the conditions specified in the recruitment advertisement. Candidates applying for Law Officer and Assistant Quality Control Officer positions must also meet the prescribed post-qualification experience requirements.
Law Officer applicants must have at least two years of cumulative post-qualification professional experience as on June 30, 2026. The experience must have been obtained after the declaration of the final law qualification result and may include work in courts or tribunals, law firms, private or public sector organisations handling legal functions, or Central and State Government legal departments. Assistant Quality Control Officer candidates must have at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience in testing, research and development or quality control in eligible petroleum, petrochemical, polymer or fertiliser laboratories or NABL-accredited laboratories.

The selection process will comprise a Computer-Based Test, followed by Group Discussion, Group Task and Personal Interview. The CBT will have 100 objective-type questions covering General Aptitude and domain knowledge, with 0.25 marks deducted for every incorrect answer. The CBT will carry 85 per cent weightage in the final merit list, while Group Discussion and Group Task will account for 5 per cent and the Personal Interview for 10 per cent. Candidates must also meet the prescribed sectional and overall qualifying marks for their respective categories.
Selected candidates will receive salaries according to their respective grades. Grade A carries an initial basic pay of Rs 50,000 per month and a pay scale of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,60,000, with an approximate annual CTC of Rs 18.4 lakh. Grade A0 has an initial basic pay of Rs 40,000 and a pay scale of Rs 40,000 to Rs 1,40,000, with an approximate annual CTC of Rs 14.8 lakh, while Grade E0 carries an initial basic pay of Rs 30,000 and a pay scale of Rs 30,000 to Rs 1,20,000, with an approximate annual CTC of Rs 11.1 lakh. The package also includes benefits such as Dearness Allowance, HRA or subsidised accommodation, medical facilities, gratuity, provident fund and other applicable benefits.
Candidates from the SC, ST and PwBD categories are exempt from the application fee, while candidates from other categories must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 plus applicable GST. The admit card is scheduled to be issued on September 15, with the CBT tentatively scheduled for September 24. IOCL has clarified that these dates may change and candidates should regularly check the IndianOil website for updates. Applications must be submitted online, as hardcopy and manual applications will not be accepted.
