Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 11 National Highway projects worth Rs 6,350 crore in Jharkhand today, officials announced. The initiatives, spanning Ranchi and Garhwa, aim to boost connectivity and infrastructure in the state.
In Ranchi, Gadkari will inaugurate a 4.18-km elevated corridor, the Ratu Road flyover, costing Rs 560 crore, stretching from Raj Bhavan to OTC Ground. He will also launch projects worth Rs 2,915 crore, including the Rs 1,900-crore Palma-Gumla four-lane highway, the Rs 825-crore Barhi-Koderma four-lane project, and smaller projects worth Rs 100 crore for Godda, Rs 20 crore for Giridih, and Rs 70 crore for Barahat-Tulsipur.
In Garhwa, Gadkari will dedicate a 23-km four-lane highway from Shankha to Khajoori, built for Rs 1,130 crore, and lay the foundation for a Rs 1,330-crore, 32-km four-laning of NH 39 from the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border to Gumla. Additionally, he will initiate the construction of multiple bridges across the state.
