A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men from her own village in Nuh district after they forcibly took her to nearby fields, police said on December 23, 2025. The incident occurred on Friday night when the accused allegedly threatened and dragged the minor out of her home, holding her captive at a tube well throughout the night and assaulting her in turn. She was released around 11 am on Saturday, after the men reportedly threatened to kill her, abduct her again, and circulate explicit videos of the assault online if she revealed anything.
According to the complaint filed by the girl's father at Sadar Tauru police station, the three accused—known to the victim—had been harassing her for several months prior to the latest attack. The father alleged that the men had earlier given her a mobile phone to maintain contact and coerced her into staying in touch, warning that any attempt to break off communication would lead to the release of compromising videos they had recorded during previous assaults. The threats caused the teenager severe anxiety and fear, preventing her from reporting the earlier incidents.
An FIR was registered on Saturday under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the three accused, who remain at large. A senior police officer confirmed that two special teams have been formed to conduct raids and apprehend the suspects, stating that arrests are expected soon. The case has shocked the local community in this Mewat region village, where the accused and victim are neighbors.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenge of sexual violence against minors in rural Haryana, where prior coercion, threats of blackmail, and fear of social stigma often delay reporting. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the accused's whereabouts to come forward while promising swift action to ensure justice for the survivor. The case is being monitored at senior levels to expedite the investigation and provide necessary support to the victim and her family.
