The Delhi Police Crime Branch has dismantled a narcotics trafficking network, arresting three individuals and seizing 194 grams of cocaine valued at Rs 2.25 crore, officials announced on Friday. The operation, conducted in early September, targeted a drug syndicate operating across Delhi-NCR and beyond, highlighting the police’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug trade in the capital.
The arrested individuals were identified as Rahul Wadhwa (32), Abdul Kadir (29), and Chimezie Lazarus Indedinge, alias Zudo (35), a Nigerian national residing in Delhi. Acting on a tip-off, police set up a sting operation in Rohini on September 6, apprehending Wadhwa and Kadir during a cocaine delivery. Authorities recovered 54 grams from Kadir and 31 grams from Wadhwa. Interrogation revealed Zudo as the alleged mastermind, leading to his arrest in Mehrauli on September 10, where 109 grams of cocaine were seized.
Zudo, who arrived in India in January 2023 for medical treatment, reportedly turned to drug trafficking due to financial difficulties. He allegedly orchestrated the supply chain across Delhi, Gurugram, Meerut, Chandigarh, and Haldwani. Kadir, a former taxi driver, was recruited by Zudo with promises of Rs 1,000 per delivery and later brought Wadhwa, also a former taxi driver, into the operation. None of the accused had prior criminal records.

Police are now investigating the syndicate’s broader network, including potential financial and international connections. The bust underscores Delhi’s role as a hub for drug trafficking in northern India, with authorities intensifying efforts to disrupt such operations.
