A 24-year-old woman was discovered deceased in her rented apartment in southeast Delhi’s Kalkaji on Thursday, with authorities suspecting suicide as the cause of death, according to police officials.
The Delhi Police received a PCR call at approximately 7:30 AM on Thursday, reporting the discovery of a body in a DDA Janta flat in Kalkaji. The woman, a native of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, was identified as an employee in the accounts department of a private company in Noida. She had been residing alone in the rented flat since September 1, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari.
The grim discovery was made by her employer, Dharam Singh, who grew concerned after failing to contact her since the previous night. Accompanied by the landlord, Singh visited the apartment and found the woman hanging from a ceiling fan with a scarf. No suicide note was found at the scene, police reported.
