A dispute during a birthday celebration at a gym in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr turned deadly on Saturday night after an argument over smearing cake on the face of a gym trainer reportedly escalated into gunfire, leaving three people dead. Police said panic spread quickly inside the gym as shots were allegedly fired during the confrontation between two groups attending the celebration.
According to preliminary findings, the incident took place during the birthday event of gym trainer Jeetu. Investigators said a disagreement first broke out between two groups present at the venue. What began as a verbal altercation soon intensified into a violent clash, creating chaos among those gathered for the celebration.
Police alleged that the trainer and some of his associates opened fire on members of the rival group during the dispute. The sudden shooting caused fear and confusion inside the premises, with people rushing for safety. Authorities have not yet publicly disclosed the identities of all those killed, and the exact sequence of events remains under investigation.

Senior police officials said a case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible. Security has been tightened in the area to prevent further tension. The incident has shocked local residents, highlighting how a seemingly minor disagreement during a private celebration spiralled into a fatal act of violence.
