Two recent theatrical releases — The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond and Thaai Kizhavi — have completed their first week in cinemas with steady box-office performances. While both films crossed the ₹20 crore mark in India's net collections, their earnings slowed slightly on the seventh day.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, collected around ₹1.27 crore on day 7. This takes the film’s total India net collection to approximately ₹21.42 crore after seven days.
The film opened with ₹0.75 crore on its first Friday, followed by a strong jump to ₹4.65 crore on Saturday and ₹4.75 crore on Sunday. Weekday collections stood at ₹2.5 crore on Monday, ₹4 crore on Tuesday and ₹3.5 crore on Wednesday before slowing on Thursday.

On its seventh day, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.43 per cent. Morning shows had an occupancy of 6.27 per cent, while afternoon shows recorded 10.58 per cent occupancy, with evening and night show numbers yet to be fully reported. Among key regions, Chennai recorded the highest occupancy at 19 per cent across 30 shows, while Surat saw the lowest occupancy at 4.50 per cent across 304 shows.
Meanwhile, the Tamil film Thaai Kizhavi, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, earned about ₹0.68 crore on Day 7. The film’s total India net collection now stands at roughly ₹22.23 crore.
The movie opened with ₹2.65 crore on its first Friday, followed by ₹5 crore on Saturday and ₹6.15 crore on Sunday. Collections then declined during weekdays, with ₹2.85 crore on Monday, ₹2.7 crore on Tuesday and ₹2.2 crore on Wednesday before dropping further on Thursday.
On Day 7, the film recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 16.10 per cent. Morning shows registered 13.36 per cent occupancy, while afternoon shows saw 18.83 per cent occupancy, with evening and night show figures still awaited. Among major regions, Puducherry reported the highest occupancy at 25.50 per cent across 49 shows, while the National Capital Region recorded the lowest occupancy at 4 per cent across 10 shows.
Despite the usual weekday slowdown, both films have maintained stable performances and successfully crossed the ₹20 crore milestone within their first week at the Indian box office.
