Priyanka Chopra Jonas has emerged as one of the most influential Indian actors in Hollywood, crediting her success to unwavering self-belief. “Even if people didn’t know me, it didn’t matter. I know what I bring to the table, I know what my value is, so I was never less confident,” she said in a recent interview, reflecting on her early years in Hollywood.
Chopra entered Hollywood over a decade ago after establishing herself as one of Bollywood’s highest-paid stars. Initially pursuing a career in music, she eventually transitioned to acting, gaining global recognition through the series Quantico and films such as Baywatch, Isn’t It Romantic, The Matrix Resurrections, and Heads of State.
Despite her achievements, Chopra admits she does not feel fully “arrived” yet. She defines true success as the ability to pursue work she loves while remaining present for her family, including her husband, singer Nick Jonas, and their daughter, Malti Marie. “Most people work every day in jobs they don’t enjoy, but for me, balancing my career and family is the real win,” she said.

Looking back on her 2016 vision of leaving a legacy, Chopra notes that her perspective has evolved. “Now 10 years later, I don’t know what the word legacy means anymore. I want to push myself as an artist, surprise my audience, and still be present for my family,” she explained, emphasizing the importance of creative growth alongside personal fulfillment.
Her upcoming projects reflect this vision. Chopra stars in the period actioner The Bluff as Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, a pirate confronting her violent past. The role required extensive sword-fighting training and will premiere on Prime Video on February 25. She will also return to Indian cinema in Varanasi with SS Rajamouli and continue her role in season two of Citadel.
Through her global career, Priyanka Chopra Jonas continues to break barriers, combining Hollywood success with meaningful work in Indian cinema while redefining what it means to achieve both professional and personal fulfillment.
