Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S27, has reportedly surfaced in the GSMA database months ahead of its expected official launch. The listing suggests that the device is already undergoing regulatory approvals, even though Samsung is likely to unveil the lineup only next year. The appearance of the device online has sparked early speculation about its design, hardware configuration, and release timeline.

According to details shared by SmartPrix, the Samsung Galaxy S27 has been identified in the GSMA database under the model number SM-S952U. The listing, reportedly dated June 8, includes both the device name and its internal identifier but does not reveal any specifications. Industry observers believe that the “U” suffix in the model number indicates a carrier-locked variant intended for the United States market.

Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy S27 series, reports suggest that the company may be preparing multiple variants for the next-generation lineup. These are expected to include the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The early database appearance indicates that preliminary groundwork for certification and regional approvals may already be underway.

Meanwhile, higher-end variants such as the Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro are rumored to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. These models are expected to target premium performance users, offering enhanced processing power and improved imaging capabilities. However, these specifications remain unconfirmed and are based on early industry leaks.

For context, Samsung’s previous Galaxy S26 series was launched earlier this year, featuring similar design language and incremental performance improvements.
