Samsung is preparing to host its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on February 25, where the company is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series. The anticipated lineup includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The event is scheduled to take place in San Francisco at 1 PM ET, which corresponds to 11:30 PM in India.
Ahead of the launch, a fresh leak has shed light on the selfie camera specifications of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to tipster Ice Universe, the premium smartphone is likely to feature a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the one used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The leak suggests Samsung may retain the same resolution for another generation of its flagship device.
The tipster claimed that the front camera will use a 1/3.2-inch Sony sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.12 µm pixel size. It is also expected to offer an 85-degree wide field of view for selfies and video calls. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed any camera details for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.

Separately, Samsung recently teased a new Privacy Display technology that is expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 lineup. The feature is designed to obscure on-screen content when viewed from side angles, enhancing privacy in public spaces. In the teaser clip, a smartphone user’s screen becomes unreadable to nearby viewers on a moving train.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also rumoured to feature a quad rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. Additional cameras may include a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom, both expected to support OIS.
On the display front, the handset is tipped to sport a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Armour 2 protection. The device is said to be powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset built on a 3nm process. It may ship with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Battery details suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra could pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 60W wired fast charging. More concrete specifications are expected to be revealed when Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S26 series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event.
