Apple will host its highly anticipated “Awe-Dropping Event” at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM IST) at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, California, unveiling the iPhone 17 series alongside updated Apple Watches and AirPods. The event, a cornerstone of Apple’s annual product cycle, will be live-streamed globally on Apple’s official website, the Apple TV app (available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV), and the company’s YouTube channel.
Viewers in India can tune in at 10:30 PM IST, with options to set notifications on Apple’s website and YouTube to ensure they don’t miss the keynote, which is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes.
The iPhone 17 series is set to headline the event with four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The standard iPhone 17 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz display and a 24MP front camera, while the iPhone 17 Pro may introduce a horizontal camera bar, a lighter aluminum body, and 256GB base storage.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max, potentially priced at $1,299 (approximately Rs 1.14 lakh), is expected to offer a larger battery, and the iPhone 17 Air, Apple’s thinnest handset at 5.5mm, is projected to cost between $949 (Rs 83,600) and $999 (Rs 88,000). These models aim to compete with rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and Google’s Pixel 10 series.
Beyond smartphones, Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11 with an upgraded S11 chip and potential blood-pressure monitoring, alongside the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which may include satellite connectivity and faster charging. The AirPods Pro 3 are anticipated to feature a slimmer design and an H3 chip for enhanced noise cancellation.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series are likely to begin on September 12, with retail sales starting September 19. Additionally, iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and other software updates are expected to roll out on September 15, further enhancing Apple’s ecosystem.
