Chandigarh-based golfer Yuvraj Sandhu clinched his sixth title of the 2025 season with a dominant eight-shot victory at the ₹2 crore Vishwa Samudra Open, hosted by Kapil Dev at the Delhi Golf Club on December 12, 2025. The 28-year-old carded a bogey-free six-under 66 in the final round for a tournament total of 14-under 274, earning ₹30 lakh and securing the 2025 PGTI Order of Merit championship.
Sandhu's flawless closing rounds of 66-66 propelled him to an unassailable lead in the PGTI earnings race, with season winnings reaching ₹1,61,67,100. The triumph also earned him a coveted card on the DP World Tour for 2026, marking a significant milestone in his career. His sixth win matched the PGTI record for most titles in a single season, set by Manu Gandas in 2022.
Sri Lankan golfer N. Thangaraja finished runner-up at six-under 282 after a final-round 68, claiming ₹20 lakh and rising to second in the Order of Merit with ₹1,08,57,488 in earnings. Akshay Sharma took third at five-under 283, followed by Manu Gandas at three-under 285 and Rashid Khan at two-under 286.

Starting the day with a one-shot lead, Sandhu quickly pulled away with birdies on the first two holes, including a bunker save and a 12-foot putt. He added four more birdies to seal his 15th career title, equalling the lowest winning total at the historic Delhi Golf Club, previously set by Viraj Madappa in 2021.
Reflecting on his rebound from a runner-up finish the previous week, Sandhu credited mental resilience and improved decision-making with his caddie. He described the DP World Tour qualification as a dream yet to fully sink in, while expressing pride in winning at the venue where he idolised past champions.
Sandhu acknowledged the gamble of focusing on the PGTI over retaining his Asian Tour card, thanking his support team—including coach Gurbaaz Mann, trainers, physios, and mental coach—for their role in a breakthrough season featuring 13 top-10 finishes. The victory underscores his rapid ascent in Indian professional golf.
