Bayern Munich completed a dominant domestic season by defeating VfB Stuttgart 3-0 in the German Cup final in Berlin on Saturday, with Harry Kane scoring a sensational hat-trick. The victory secured Bayern Munich’s 21st German Cup title and completed the club’s 14th league-and-cup double, further reinforcing its long-standing dominance in German football.
Kane delivered all three goals in the second half after a tightly contested opening period in which Stuttgart created several attacking opportunities. Bayern’s breakthrough came when Michael Olise provided a precise cross from the right flank for Kane to head home from close range. The England captain later added a second goal with support from Luis Díaz before calmly converting a stoppage-time penalty to seal the hat-trick and the trophy.
Speaking after the match, Kane described the performance as one of the most memorable moments of his career, saying he felt a strong responsibility to help Bayern win the final. The striker’s three goals took his tally to an impressive 61 goals in all competitions this season. The triumph also ended Bayern Munich’s six-year wait for another German Cup title and capped off a highly successful campaign for the Bundesliga champions.

Despite the final scoreline, Stuttgart had threatened Bayern repeatedly during the first half, particularly through attacks led by Maximilian Mittelstädt and Chris Führich. However, Bayern capitalized on Stuttgart’s missed chances after the break and quickly took control of the match. The final marked the third occasion this season in which Stuttgart finished on the losing side against Bayern, having also been defeated in the German Super Cup and during a crucial Bundesliga clash earlier in the campaign.
