Rishabh Pant has praised Arjun Tendulkar for his commitment and work ethic ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 after the young all-rounder returned to training just a day after his wedding. The interaction, shared in a video by Lucknow Super Giants, highlighted Pant’s admiration for Arjun’s dedication as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
In the video, Pant is seen expressing surprise and appreciation at Arjun’s quick return to practice following his marriage to Saaniya Chandhok. Referring to the situation in a light-hearted tone, Pant remarked on how unusual it was for a player to resume training immediately after such a personal milestone. The comment underscored the level of discipline Arjun has shown as he integrates into his new team environment.
Arjun, the son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, recently joined Lucknow Super Giants after being traded from Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh. His move marks a new phase in his career, with expectations that he will contribute as a bowling all-rounder. The 24-year-old has previously featured in a limited number of matches in the IPL, gaining experience across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

During the interaction, the two players also discussed technical aspects of their game, including bat weight preferences. Arjun revealed that he uses a bat weighing around 1,220 grams and prefers not to go lighter than 1,200 grams, noting that his father used significantly heavier bats during his playing days. He explained that a heavier bat allows for better impact with minimal effort, offering an advantage in certain match situations.
Pant also extended his support to Arjun, assuring him that he could approach him whenever needed. The gesture reflected the team’s effort to build a supportive environment ahead of a demanding tournament. As captain, Pant is expected to play a key role in guiding younger players and ensuring cohesion within the squad.
Lucknow Super Giants are set to begin their IPL 2026 campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 1. With Pant aiming to lead the side to a stronger performance after missing the playoffs last season, players like Arjun will be under close watch as they look to make a meaningful impact in the competition.
