Waaree Energies has officially become the title sponsor for the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, marking its entry into the competitive IPL sponsorship arena. The company will feature its logo on the front of the team’s official jerseys as well as on training kits for the upcoming season, signaling a high-profile partnership in one of the world’s most-watched sporting leagues.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, Waaree Energies described itself as a “leading global energy transition company” and confirmed its collaboration with the Rajasthan Royals. Hitesh Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Waaree, highlighted the cultural significance of cricket in India, stating that the partnership will help convey the company’s message of clean energy to a wide audience across the country.
“Our partnership with Rajasthan Royals enables us to take the message of clean energy from industry corridors to the hearts of people across the country,” Joshi said. He added that Waaree aims to make the energy transition inclusive, aspirational, and visible to every Indian, leveraging the IPL’s reach and popularity.

Waaree Energies joins a growing list of listed companies sponsoring IPL teams for the 2026 season. JK Cement is the principal sponsor for the Lucknow Super Giants, Shree Cement backs Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Birla Estates, a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Realty, sponsors the Gujarat Titans.
Several other notable sponsors, though unlisted, have also secured key partnerships. Vida sponsors Kolkata Knight Riders, Etihad Airways partners with Chennai Super Kings, Hero Fincorp backs Delhi Capitals, Lauritz Knudsen is with Mumbai Indians, CP Plus supports Punjab Kings, and Nothing is associated with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The IPL 2026 sponsorship race reflects the continued commercial appeal of the league, attracting both listed and unlisted companies eager to leverage cricket’s massive fan base to promote their brands. With Waaree Energies now on board, the Rajasthan Royals are poised to enter the season with strengthened financial and promotional backing.
