The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) set the stage for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season by hosting the third edition of its fan engagement event, Knights Unplugged 3.0, bringing together players, support staff, partners, and fans for an interactive and celebratory evening.
The event, designed as an immersive platform to strengthen the bond between the franchise and its supporters, featured a series of activities including a squad introduction, live interactions with players, and entertainment performances. Fans were given a rare opportunity to engage closely with their favourite cricketers in a more informal and personal setting ahead of the new season.
A key highlight of the evening was a tribute to former KKR all-rounder Andre Russell, whose jersey was officially retired in recognition of his contributions to the franchise. The moment drew an emotional response from the audience. Russell is set to remain involved with the team this season in a new role as Power Coach, further strengthening the team’s support staff.
