When asked about his girlfriend during an interview, Dhawan initially hesitated but eventually said, "I will not take any name. But the most beautiful girl in the room is my girlfriend." The camera then panned to a woman who resembled the person spotted with Dhawan at the tournament, fueling rumors of a new romance.

Dhawan’s personal life has been under public scrutiny since his divorce from Aesha Mukherji in October 2023. Despite being granted visitation rights, Dhawan has faced challenges in maintaining contact with his 11-year-old son, Zoraver, who lives with his mother. In a recent appearance on the ANI podcast, Dhawan opened up about coping with the emotional distance from his son, whom he has not seen in two years.

"It has been two years since I've seen my son, one year since I last spoke to him. It has been difficult, but you learn to live with it. I miss him and speak to him spiritually," Dhawan said. He shared how he stays connected through affirmations and meditation, imagining conversations and playful moments with Zoraver.

When asked what he would do if reunited with his son, Dhawan said, "I would first hug him, spend time with him, and listen to him. Showing him any innings of mine hasn’t even occurred to me. I’ll listen to him, know about him, and if he tears up, I'll cry with him."
