India is set to tour Zimbabwe in July for a three-match T20 international series, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced on Wednesday. All matches will be played in Harare on July 23, 25, and 26, adding to India’s packed cricket calendar ahead of the upcoming international season.
The tour comes after India’s successful home campaign, where the team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, won the T20 World Cup last month. The upcoming Zimbabwe series will also precede three ODI matches between the two sides scheduled in India in January next year.
India last toured Zimbabwe in 2024, winning a five-match T20 series 4-1. Zimbabwe, currently ranked 11th in the ICC T20 rankings, had surprised cricket fans at the World Cup by topping their group and advancing to the second stage, highlighting their potential despite their lower ranking.

The series offers India an opportunity to consolidate their top-ranked T20 status and test bench strength, while Zimbabwe will look to capitalize on home conditions to challenge one of the strongest teams in the format. Both teams are expected to field competitive line-ups for the three matches.
The July T20 series continues India’s busy international schedule, emphasizing the team’s focus on maintaining form and momentum ahead of major tournaments. Fans in Harare can anticipate competitive, fast-paced contests as the teams meet on the T20 stage.
