Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Tuesday and presented her with the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document. The meeting highlighted the state government’s development plans and strategies to transform Telangana into a global economic powerhouse.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed Sonia Gandhi on the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025, held on December 8 and 9 at the upcoming Bharat Future City. He also detailed the welfare schemes implemented by the Congress government over the past two years and discussed ongoing measures for state development and future initiatives.
Sonia Gandhi appreciated the government’s performance and Revanth Reddy’s vision for Telangana. She expressed confidence that the Chief Minister would steer the state toward sustainable growth, aligning with the ambitious goals outlined in the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document.
The Vision Document sets the target of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with an interim milestone of achieving $1 trillion by 2034. It outlines a roadmap to achieve these objectives through a set of key strategies, emphasizing balanced development across urban, peri-urban, and rural sectors.
The principal strategy involves dividing the state into three sector-specific zones: CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri Urban Region Economy), and RARE (Rural Agri Region Economy). This three-pronged approach aims to harness Telangana’s rich human and natural resources, entrepreneurial talent, and technological capabilities for comprehensive economic growth.
Sonia Gandhi had earlier extended her best wishes for the Telangana Rising Global Summit, lauding Revanth Reddy’s initiative in organising the event. She described the Vision Document as a major step toward making Telangana a trillion-dollar economy by 2034, highlighting its emphasis on balanced development and long-term strategic planning.
