Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the launch of the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ on Thursday, August 28, 2025, fulfilling a key election promise of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The scheme, set to roll out on September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya, will provide Rs 2,100 monthly financial assistance to eligible women across the state, aiming to boost economic empowerment and support families.
The decision was finalized during a Haryana cabinet meeting, with Saini outlining the scheme’s details. In its initial phase, the program will target women aged 23 and above from families with an annual income below Rs 1 lakh. Both married and unmarried women are eligible, with no limit on the number of beneficiaries per household. “If a family has three eligible women, all three will receive the benefit,” Saini clarified, emphasizing the scheme’s inclusive approach.
Eligibility requires the woman, or her husband in the case of married women, to have been a Haryana resident for at least 15 years. The government plans to expand the scheme in phases to include higher income categories, ensuring broader coverage over time. This initiative is expected to provide significant financial relief to women, fostering independence and supporting household economies in Haryana.
