Royal Enfield reported strong sales momentum in April 2026, selling a total of 113,164 motorcycles and recording a 31 per cent year-on-year increase. The company had sold 86,559 units in April 2025, making this a significant rise as it began the new financial year on a positive note. The latest numbers highlight continued demand for Royal Enfield’s popular mid-size motorcycles in India.
The company’s domestic market performance was especially strong. Royal Enfield sold 104,129 units in India during April 2026, compared with 76,002 units in the same month last year. This represents a robust 37 per cent increase, showing that Indian buyers continue to strongly prefer the brand’s classic styling, premium road presence and expanding product lineup.
The sharp rise in home-market sales also suggests that Royal Enfield is deepening its hold over the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. Models such as the Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Himalayan families have helped the company attract both traditional enthusiasts and younger riders seeking lifestyle-orientated motorcycles. Continued dealership expansion and growing brand loyalty have also supported domestic growth.

However, the export business presented a contrasting picture. Overseas shipments declined to 9,035 units in April 2026, down from 10,557 units a year earlier. This marks a 14 per cent fall in exports, indicating that international demand conditions remain uneven despite the brand’s growing recognition in global markets.
Overall, the April sales report reflects a company powered mainly by strong domestic demand while facing some pressure abroad. With India remaining its core growth engine, Royal Enfield appears well-positioned to build further momentum in the coming months through new launches, stronger retail reach and sustained consumer interest in premium motorcycles.
