Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Bihar Cabinet Minister Nitin Nabin as a "young and industrious" leader with rich organisational experience, following his appointment as the Bharatiya Janata Party's National Working President on December 14, 2025.
The BJP Parliamentary Board selected Nabin to succeed Union Minister JP Nadda, who has led the party as National President since January 2020. In a post on X, Modi highlighted Nabin's dedication as a grassroots worker, his impressive legislative and ministerial record in Bihar across multiple terms, and his commitment to fulfilling public aspirations.
Modi further commended Nabin's humble and grounded approach, expressing confidence that his energy and dedication would strengthen the party in the coming years. The appointment signals the BJP's emphasis on promoting younger leaders with proven administrative and organisational credentials.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended congratulations, describing Nabin as a "young and energetic leader" endowed with diligence and imaginative capacity. Singh expressed optimism that, under Modi's leadership, Nabin would elevate the party to new heights.
A five-time MLA and current Minister of Road Construction in Bihar, Nabin is the son of veteran BJP leader Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha. He has previously held key portfolios, including Urban Development and Housing and Law, while serving in various youth wing roles nationally and in Bihar, as well as organisational responsibilities in states like Sikkim.
The elevation of Nabin reflects the party's strategy to blend experience with youthful dynamism as it prepares for future electoral challenges and organisational expansion across India.
