Round 3 counselling gained attention after MCC reduced the cut-off significantly. This step was taken as more than 18,000 seats remained vacant after Round 2. For reserved categories, the cut-off was reduced to the 0th percentile. This move faced criticism from the medical community. Many expressed concern over very low qualifying scores.
For General and EWS candidates, the cut-off was reduced from 276 to 103 out of 800. For General PwBD candidates, it was lowered from 255 to 90. SC, ST, and OBC candidates saw the cut-off drop to minus 40. These changes aimed to ensure maximum seat filling. Candidates should now follow further instructions issued by MCC.
