The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu unit has appointed renowned actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar as its state vice president, as announced by State President Nainar Nagenthran on Wednesday.
The appointments, which include 45 state-level office-bearers, were approved by BJP National President JP Nadda. Sundar, who joined the BJP in 2020 after leaving the Congress and resigned from the National Commission for Women in 2024, is among the newly elevated leaders.
Other continuing vice presidents include former MPs VP Duraisamy, KP Ramalingam, Sasikala Pushpa, and M Chakravarthi. Kesava Vinayakan remains the State General Secretary (Organisation), Prof Raama Sreenivsan continues as State General Secretary, and Karate R Thiagarajan retains his role as State Secretary. Most office-bearers have retained their positions, with Sundar’s appointment marking a significant addition to the leadership team.
Nagenthran, who assumed the state presidency in April 2025, extended his congratulations to the newly appointed and continuing office-bearers, signaling a strengthened organizational structure for the party in Tamil Nadu.
