The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reportedly making a significant political push in Tamil Nadu by exploring the possibility of aligning with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), the party led by actor-turned-politician Vijay. Reports suggest that the BJP has offered the prospect of a Deputy Chief Minister post to Vijay as part of efforts to build a broader alliance ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

The move is being seen as a strategic attempt by the BJP to strengthen its presence in Tamil Nadu, a state where regional parties have historically dominated the political landscape. By reaching out to Vijay—who commands a large fan following across the state—the BJP is believed to be aiming to expand its voter base and attract younger supporters.

Vijay officially launched the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam earlier this year, marking his formal entry into politics after years of speculation.
