The Congress party on Saturday announced the launch of a nationwide campaign aimed at addressing what it described as a growing crisis of paper leaks, examination irregularities, and rising youth unemployment across the country. The party said the initiative will begin in multiple phases and focus on engaging students, educators, and job aspirants affected by recurring recruitment controversies.
In an official statement, Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal said the campaign has been launched under the guidance of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and the leadership of senior party leader Rahul Gandhi. He stated that the movement seeks to highlight the difficulties faced by millions of young Indians whose academic and professional futures, according to the party, are being impacted by repeated examination-related disruptions and alleged systemic failures.
As part of the initiative, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to lead a series of student conventions beginning in Kota on June 17, followed by events in Prayagraj (Allahabad) on July 10, Patna on July 11, and New Delhi on July 14. The Congress said these gatherings will include students, coaching institute aspirants, youth organisations, educators, and individuals affected by exam irregularities, providing a platform for discussion and grievance redressal.

The party further outlined an extensive outreach plan involving its student wing NSUI, the Youth Congress, and its organisational units at state, district, and local levels. According to the statement, the campaign will include campus outreach programmes, interactions at coaching centres and universities, digital engagement, social media drives, live screenings, and direct meetings with students across various regions of the country.
Congress leaders said the initiative aims to build a unified platform for students beyond political divisions and to amplify demands for accountability in cases involving paper leaks and examination failures. The party reiterated long-standing demands raised by Rahul Gandhi, including decentralisation of the NEET examination, abolition of examination fees, strict legal action against those involved in paper leak cases, and greater accountability in the education system.
The Congress also called for a comprehensive parliamentary discussion on issues affecting India’s youth, stating that safeguarding merit, fairness, and equal opportunity in education is a matter of national importance. The party said it intends to continue pressing for legislative measures to ensure transparency and protect the interests of students and job seekers.
