Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Congress matriarch Sonia Gandhi are dreaming of installing their sons as Bihar CM and India PM—only to be reminded that "both posts are not vacant." The remarks, delivered amid roaring crowds and waving saffron flags, instantly went viral, amplifying the BJP’s narrative of dynasty versus meritocracy in the high-stakes Bihar assembly elections. Shah’s sharp one-liner—“yeh dono kursiyaan khali nahi hain!”—drew thunderous applause, positioning the NDA as the unbreakable fortress guarding power against family fiefdoms.
Speaking at a packed rally in Darbhanga, Shah mocked the opposition's dynastic ambitions: "Lalu ji wants Tejashwi as CM, Sonia ji wants Rahul as PM. But I’m here to tell them—yeh dono kursiyaan khali nahi hain!" He contrasted the BJP’s youth-focused ticket distribution with the RJD-Congress’s alleged nepotism, noting that the saffron party has fielded fresh faces while the opposition clings to “parivarvad.” The crowd erupted as Shah painted a vivid picture of Tejashwi waiting in the wings and Rahul eyeing the PM’s chair—dreams he vowed to shatter with NDA’s electoral might.
The BJP stalwart branded the Mahagathbandhan a "thug bandhan," reeling off corruption charges: Lalu’s fodder, bitumen, and land-for-jobs scams, and Congress’s alleged ₹12 lakh crore scandals. He reminded voters of the infamous fodder scam that toppled Lalu’s government in the 1990s, the bitumen scandal involving road contracts, and the ongoing land-for-jobs probe targeting Tejashwi. On the Congress front, Shah invoked the 2G, Commonwealth, and coal scams, claiming the opposition’s DNA is soaked in corruption. “They looted Bihar and India. NDA jailed the corrupt—will you let them return?” he challenged.

Shah raised alarms over national security, questioning whether PFI terrorists—banned and jailed under NDA—would walk free under an RJD-Congress regime. "PFI was active in Phulwari Sharif. We locked them up. Will they stay in jail if these people return?" he thundered. Detailing the 2022 raids in Patna where PFI modules were busted for anti-India activities, Shah credited the Modi government’s decisive ban. He warned that an opposition victory could unleash radical elements, endangering Bihar’s peace and India’s sovereignty—a charge designed to resonate with voters wary of “jungle raj” chaos.
In Samastipur, Shah framed the Bihar polls as a battle to stop "jungle raj 2.0." Hailing NDA as "paanch paandav," he predicted a "historic victory" while accusing the opposition of plotting to strip socialist icon Karpoori Thakur of his ‘Jannayak’ title—despite PM Modi conferring the Bharat Ratna. Shah recounted how the Congress allegedly blocked Babu Jagjivan Ram’s prime ministerial bid in the 1970s, drawing parallels to today’s “anti-backward” politics. He positioned the NDA as the true champion of OBCs, EBCs, and Dalits, vowing to protect Thakur’s legacy from “vote-bank vultures.”
"Lalu-Rabri did zero for Bihar. NDA gives 8.52 crore people free ration, 125 units free electricity, built an airport, AIIMS, and soon—Darbhanga Metro," Shah boasted. He listed achievements like the Makhana Board for Mithila’s foxnut farmers, Kosi-Mechi river linking, and flood mitigation projects. Promising a metro revolution in Darbhanga, Shah said the city would soon join Patna and Gaya in modern urban connectivity. The under-construction AIIMS, already a symbol of healthcare hope, was hailed as a game-changer for North Bihar’s medical desert.
Promising cultural revival, he announced a grand Sita temple in Mithila, Ram circuit connectivity, official Maithili status, and a ₹500-crore manuscript conservation center. Shah evoked Bihar’s glorious Maithil heritage, revealing plans to link Sitamarhi, Janakpur, and other Sita-associated sites into a global spiritual tourism circuit. The translation of the Indian Constitution into Maithili and the upcoming center for ancient palm-leaf manuscripts were presented as NDA’s tribute to Mithila’s intellectual legacy—moves aimed at wooing the region’s proud “soft Hindutva” voters.
