Union Minister and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar has levelled serious allegations of a "drug-rape racket" targeting minor Hindu girls from migrant families in Hyderabad, drawing parallels to the infamous cases depicted in the web series 'Kerala Crime Files' and terming the purported incidents 'The Hyderabad Files'. The claims, made public on November 10, 2025, focus on vulnerable girls from West Bengal working or residing in the city, who are allegedly being drugged and sexually assaulted in a systematic manner.
Kumar, a prominent BJP figure from Telangana, accused local authorities of turning a blind eye to the racket, which he claimed operates in specific pockets of Hyderabad. He highlighted the plight of migrant Hindu families, suggesting a targeted pattern that exploits economic hardship and social isolation. The minister demanded immediate investigations and action, framing the issue as a grave law-and-order failure under the Congress-led state government.
The allegations have sparked political outrage, with the BJP amplifying them to criticise the ruling dispensation's handling of women's safety and migrant welfare. Similar past claims in Hyderabad have often led to communal tensions, prompting calls for verified probes to avoid misinformation.

As yet, no official response from the Telangana government or police has been issued on record, nor have specific cases been detailed publicly by Kumar. The controversy underscores ongoing concerns over crime against minors and migrants in urban centres, awaiting factual clarification amid heightened political scrutiny.
