In a recent post on X, Harsh Goenka, Chairperson of RPG Enterprises, passionately outlined five reasons why he has never considered leaving India, setting himself apart from Indian-origin billionaires like Lakshmi Mittal and Anil Agarwal, who have settled abroad.

According to the Hurun Global Rich List 2025, at least 43 Indian-origin billionaires now reside in foreign countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States. However, Goenka’s deep-rooted connection to India keeps him firmly grounded in his homeland.

Goenka’s first reason is his profound love for India, which he describes as coming “with all his heart.” This emotional bond underscores his commitment to the nation.

Secondly, he expressed a desire to contribute to India’s growth, stating that he wants to “build in the country and not just benefit from her progress.”

His third reason highlights his trust in India’s institutions, spirit, and people, reflecting his confidence in the nation’s framework and populace.

Family and personal connections also play a significant role in his decision to stay. “My roots—family, friends, work—are all here,” Goenka noted, emphasizing the importance of staying close to his loved ones and professional endeavors.

Finally, he views India not merely as a piece of land but as his true home, a sentiment encapsulated in his statement, “This is not just land, this is home.”
