The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Thursday announced the cancellation of VIP Break Darshan facilities at the Srivari Temple on several specified dates between July and September 2026. The decision has been taken in view of upcoming religious festivals, traditional ceremonies and expected heavy crowds of devotees visiting the temple during these periods. According to a statement issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of TTD, the temporary suspension of VIP Break Darshans is aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of important rituals and providing better arrangements for general devotees.
The temple administration said the move would help manage the increased flow of pilgrims during spiritually significant occasions. The TTD also clarified the rules regarding recommendation letters during the period when VIP Break Darshans will remain suspended. The administration said devotees and officials should follow the revised guidelines to avoid inconvenience and ensure the temple’s procedures are maintained during major religious events.
In July, VIP Break Darshans will not be available on multiple dates due to scheduled rituals and ceremonies at the Tirumala temple. The facility will remain suspended on July 14 due to Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, a traditional temple purification ceremony conducted ahead of major festivals. The service will also be cancelled on July 17 on account of Anivara Asthanam, an important annual ritual associated with the temple administration and religious traditions. On July 19, the suspension will continue due to the Pedda Maryada ceremony for the Swamiji of Sri Andavan Ashramam.

Further, VIP Break Darshan will not be provided on July 29 due to the Chaturmasya Sankalpam of the Tirumala Jeeyar Swamijis. The religious observance is an important event in the Vaishnavite tradition and attracts participation from spiritual leaders and devotees. The TTD is expected to announce details of additional dates in August and September when VIP Break Darshans will remain suspended. The administration has urged pilgrims to plan their visits accordingly and follow official updates before travelling to Tirumala.
The Tirumala temple, managed by TTD, is among the most visited religious centres in the world and receives lakhs of devotees throughout the year. During festival seasons and special religious occasions, the temple administration frequently modifies darshan arrangements to ensure orderly crowd management and maintain the sanctity of rituals. The suspension of VIP services during selected periods is part of TTD’s regular arrangements to prioritise traditional ceremonies and provide smoother access for common devotees during peak pilgrimage days. The administration has requested visitors to cooperate with temple authorities and follow the prescribed guidelines.
